Data Acquisition (DAQ)

Data Acquisition (DAQ) is an important part in such systems. Data Acquisition (DAQ) is the process of collection data from different sensors into a computer.

A DAQ System consists of 4 parts: Physical input/output signals, sensors DAQ device/hardware Driver software Your software application (Application software).

Wireless Data Acquisition

Wireless technology and wireless networks are widely used today, but it’s still quite new in industrial automation systems. ZigBee and WirelessHART are popular in industrial applications, while Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular are more popular in consumer products like Smartphones, computers, etc.

Several Student Projects has been carried out within this field.

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network of distributed wireless sensors or so-called sensor nodes connected together in a mesh topology. The sensor nodes are then connected to a gateway.
